The preamble of the Canadian Multiculturalism Act is amended by adding the following after the seventh paragraph: AND WHEREAS Quebeckers form a nation and must therefore possess all the tools needed to define their identity and protect their common values, particularly as regards the protection of the French language, the separation of church and state, and gender equality; 2. Section 3 of the Act is amended by adding the following after subsection (2): Policy does not apply in Quebec (3) The Government of Canada’s multiculturalism policy does not apply in Quebec.
