R-10 Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows: 1. Section 22 of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Act is amended by adding the following after subsection (1.1): Sum to be paid to member's estate (1.2) Despite subsection (1), if a member dies in the performance of his or her duties, the Treasury Board shall pay the member’s estate the sum of $300,000, regardless of the length of the member’s service in the Force.
