L-2 Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows: 1. The heading “Minimum Wages” before section 178 of the Canada Labour Code is replaced by the following: Minimum Wages and Minimum Age of Employment 2. Section 179 of the Act is renumbered as subsection 179(1) and is amended by adding the following: Minimum age of employment (2) An employer may employ a person under the age of 15 years only if the employment is part of the person’s education or training in a program that has been approved by the Minister.
