F-27 Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows: 1. Section 5 of the Food and Drugs Act is amended by adding the following after subsection (2): Sugar content (3) A prepackaged product, as defined in the regulations, that does not have a label on the front of it that contains the prescribed information with respect to its sugar content — and that is of the prescribed dimensions and displays the prescribed spacing and use of upper and lower case letters and bold type — shall be deemed to be labelled contrary to subsection (1). 2. Subsection 30(1) of the Act is amended by adding the following after paragraph (b): (b.1) respecting the labelling of a prepackaged product with respect to its sugar content, including the dimensions of the label, the spacing and the use of upper — and lower — case letters and bold type; Published under authority of the Speaker of the House of Commons
