Section 36 of the Broadcasting Act is amended by adding the following after subsection (3): Ground for removal (3.1) For the purposes of subsection (3), in addition to the grounds for removal generally recognized by law, the exertion of political pressure on Corporation staff constitutes a ground for removal. 2. Subsection 46(5) of the Act is replaced by the following: Independence (5) The Corporation shall, in the pursuit of its objects and in the exercise of its powers, enjoy freedom of expression and journalistic, creative and programming independence.
