Available on the House of Commons website at the following address: www.ourcommons.ca 1st Session, 42nd Parliament, 64-65-66-67-68 Elizabeth II, 2015-2016-2017-2018-2019 HOUSE OF COMMONS OF CANADA BILL C-465 An Act to amend the Canada Labour Code (automated external defibrillators) Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows: R.‍S.‍, c. L-2 Canada Labour Code 1 Subsection 125(1) of the Canada Labour Code is amended by adding the following after paragraph (h): (h.‍1) ensure that accessible automated external defibrillators are kept in the work place; 2 Paragraph 157(1)‍(b) of the Act is replaced by the following: (b) for the purposes of paragraph 125(1)‍(h.‍1), prescribing, based on the number of employees and persons that are granted access to the work place by the employer and the size of the work place, the number of automated external defibrillators that must be kept in the work place, and excluding any work place from the application of that paragraph; and (c) respecting such other matters or things as are necessary to carry out the provisions of this Part.
