P-21 Privacy Act 1 Section 8 of the Privacy Act is amended by adding the following after subsection (2): Disclosure of information relating to prior charges or convictions (2.‍1) Subject to any other Act of Parliament, personal information under the control of a government institution may be disclosed to the extent that is necessary to give effect to a provincial law or program that authorizes the disclosure of information relating to an individual who has been charged with or convicted of an offence involving the use of violence by the individual against their intimate partner as defined in section 2 of the Criminal Code.
