Bill C-215: An Act to amend the Employment Insurance Act (illness, injury or quarantine)

1996, c. 23 Employment Insurance Act 1 Paragraph 12(3)(c) of the Employment Insurance Act is replaced by the following: (c) because of a prescribed illness, injury or quarantine is 52 ; 2 Paragraph 152.14(1)(c) of the Act is replaced by the following: (c) because of a prescribed illness, injury or quarantine is 52 ; Coordinating Amendment 2021, c. 23 3 (1) In this section, other Act means the Budget Implementation Act, 2021, No. 1 . (2) If section 1 of this Act comes into force before subsection 307(2) of the other Act, then that subsection 307(2) and section 323 of the other Act are repealed. (3) If subsection 307(2) of the other Act comes into force on the same day as section 1 of this Act, then (a) that subsection 307(2) is deemed to have come into force before that section 1; and (b) section 323 of the other Act is deemed to have come into force before section 2 of this Act.
