Bill C-366: An Act to amend the Food and Drugs Act (substances in menstrual tampons)

R.S., c. F- 27 Food and Drugs Act 1 (1) Subsection 20(2) of the Food and Drugs Act is replaced by the following: Devices labelled or packaged in contravention of Act or regulations (2) A device that is not labelled or packaged as required by, or is labelled or packaged contrary to, this Act or the regulations shall be deemed to be labelled or packaged contrary to subsection (1). (2) Section 20 of the Act is amended by adding the following after subsection (2): Labelling of menstrual tampons (3) In addition to meeting the requirements under this Act for devices, labels for menstrual tampons shall include a list of the substances they contain. Coming into Force Eighteen months after royal assent 2 This Act comes into force on the day that, in the eighteenth month after the month in which it receives royal assent, has the same calendar number as the day on which it receives royal assent or, if that eighteenth month has no day with that number, the last day of that eighteenth month.
