The Canada Elections Act is amended by adding the following after section 348: Provision of Services Provision of services 348.1 Where the official agent of a candidate requests telephone, fax or Internet service for a campaign office of the candidate from a service provider that offers the service in the area where the office is located, the service provider shall provide the service: (a) within five business days, if (i) the request is made before the writ is issued, and (ii) the writ is not issued within three days after the request; or (b) within 48 hours after the writ is issued, in any other case. 2.
