The enactment also amends the Canada Post Corporation Act to prohibit those members from transmitting mail free of postage for the same purpose. P-1 PARLIAMENT OF CANADA ACT 1. Section 52.6 of the Parliament of Canada Act is amended by adding the following after subsection (1): Prohibited use (1.1) Despite subsection (1), funds, goods, services or premises may not be used to support or oppose the appointment or election of a person to the board of directors of the Canadian Wheat Board or to that of any federal body. R.S., c. C-10 CANADA POST CORPORATION ACT 2. (1) Section 35 of the Canada Post Corporation Act is amended by adding the following after subsection (4): Prohibited transmission (4.1) Despite subsections (2) and (3), members of the House of Commons may not transmit mail free of postage to support or oppose the appointment or election of a person to the board of directors of the Canadian Wheat Board or to that of any federal body.
