It also eliminates the two-week waiting period when special benefits for illness, injury or quarantine are paid. Paragraph 12(3)(c) of the Employment Insurance Act is replaced by the following: (c) because of a prescribed illness, injury or quarantine is 50; and 2. Section 13 of the Act is renumbered as subsection 13(1) and is amended by adding the following: Exception (2) The waiting period referred to in subsection (1) does not apply in respect of a prescribed illness, injury or quarantine. 3.
