This Act may be cited as the Preventing Persons from Concealing Their Identity during Riots and Unlawful Assemblies Act. R.S., c. C-46 CRIMINAL CODE 2. Section 65 of the Criminal Code is re-numbered as subsection 65(1) and amended by adding the following: Concealment of identity (2) Every person who commits an offence under subsection (1) while wearing a mask or other disguise to conceal their identity without lawful excuse is guilty of an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 10 years. 3. Section 66 of the Act is renumbered as subsection 66(1) and amended by adding the following: Concealment of identity (2) Every person who commits an offence under subsection (1) while wearing a mask or other disguise to conceal their identity without lawful excuse is guilty of (a) an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years; or (b) an offence punishable on summary conviction.
