This Act may be cited as the Detention in Custody Act (Dave Wynn's Law). R.S., c. C-46 CRIMINAL CODE 2. Paragraph 515(10)(c) of the Criminal Code is amended by striking out “and” at the end of subparagraph (iii), by adding “and” at the end of subparagraph (iv) and by adding the following after subparagraph (iv): (v) the fact that the accused has previously been convicted of a criminal offence, has been charged with and is awaiting trial for another criminal offence or has failed to appear before the court on one or more occasions when required to do so. 3. (1) The portion of paragraph 518(1)(c) of the Act before subparagraph (i) is replaced by the following: (c) the prosecutor shall, in addition to any other relevant evidence, lead evidence (2) Paragraph 518(1)(c) of the Act is amended by adding the following after subparagraph (ii): (ii.1) to prove that the accused has failed to appear before the court on one or more occasions when required to do so, Published under authority of the Speaker of the House of Commons
